Sure but most of the rebellion is over pretty minor stuff such as length of
hair or types of music, and  the issues of more substance such as drugs and
sexual matters are exactly the same as what the parents rebelled against
when they were teens. The rebellious teens almost always end up with the
same religion as the parents, political philosophy is a little more
variable but not a lot. In reality the motto of most teenagers is "I want
to be a rebel just like everybody else".
