None of this claims that masks cannot be made effective.  I have no doubt

Anyone on this list who wants good masks, I've got what might be the final
batch for use in the US lying around.  (Foreign countries might take longer
to resolve, but at this point it looks like all the mass mask customers in
the US have supply for the expected remainder of the pandemic.)  Send me an
email off-list if interested.
