It will be a while until humans will catch up to AI intelligence once it surpasses us. With exponential growth of AI just a few years will likely put AI intelligence so far beyond our ken that AI will be as gods to us. Brain hacking will probably be relatively slow due to regulations and the inherent relative difficulty of scanning/modifying/simulating biological tissue vs digital computer systems. We will probably not be the main characters of the future, I’m afraid.
