I'm all for sousveillance and reversing the panopticon. However, 
what we are getting so far is the exact opposite. And for straightforward
reasons: intelligence favors centralism, and protects the governors
against the governed.

Because of this I'm for the legislation protecting privacy and outlawing
surveillance -- with the exception of private individuals gathering
data on corporate and government functionaries. This should be actively
encouraged and protected.

For some reason, I do not expect such legislation to become quite popular,
nevermind to be passed at all.
