I confess I did not read the details of the experiment, and I accept my
scolding.

That being said I reiterate my contention that what is missing is some kind
of theoretical, even if wildly implausible, explanation. To that end, I
propose the following: let us imagine explanations for psi or any
supernatural phenom using physics that we can theoretically understand. I
proposed midichlorians before, and these are at least theoretically
possible. I don't see any reason why it is physically impossible for
nanoprocessors to exist, a few trillion atoms, still small enough to be
extremely difficult to identify, which ride in or on humans or beasts,
watching and listening, learning and communicating among themselves and with
their hosts to some extent.

I will attempt another one, not original with me of course, the idea having
been around for some time: we are already living in a post singularity
world, we already exist as software, we are avatars. Weak low-gain feedback
loops do exist, intentionally placed in our software, to cause a few
observations that defy our explanation or understanding, in order to keep us
wondering and searching. Examples would be psi, quantum mechanics, the
baffling double slit experiment, the constancy of the speed of light, the
nature of love, the mystery of life itself.

With this game, I am not asking anyone to actually believe that there are
midichlorians or that we are software with intentionally programmed
strange-loops, but rather I am asking you to dig deep within your creative
minds to propose some kind of wildly implausible but theoretically possible
explanations for supernatural phenomena.
