How could a construct of organic molecules of any complexity feel fear? 
How could a being made of beer cans and string? or plasma and magnetic 
fields? It's the same problem, no matter what you're made of.

Just because the machines we think with are made of fat and water 
doesn't make them any more, or less, special than ones made of silicon 
and plastic. Just different.
