Wow. I wonder if anyone else reading this thread would like to arbitrate?

I specifically directed "i vs you" to "we" so to subject could be less
prone to being physically slighted.  I just had this same conversation with
my dad for how his use of language makes him sound racist and how that
makes my wife immediately confrontational about it.

Theirs is a different culture.  Yours is a different culture.  Mine is a
different culture.  Yours is the morally superior position. I'm ignorant,
but have nothing to learn from the end of your part of this thread.

For anyone else that might explain how this thread could go so wrong in two
replies... what is the nature of the difficulty here?

Was my point so poorly made that offense was the only way to react?
