Doesn't a standard by its very definition, include measurement?  I'll graat
you this:  that psychometrics is in its early stage of development and may
be greatly improved by neuroscience.  Few causes are found, but many useful
correlations exist.  If they didn't, industrial psychologists would never
ever be hired again because their predictions don't result in better
