What if. we fooled ourselves with the obvious jump in smart search
algorithms?  What if we fooled ourselves, from what I think is a very clever
application or implementation of what we controls geeks knew as Kalman
filtering?  We convinced ourselves that it was "smart" as the desperately
lonely basement dweller convinced themself that they AI sweetheart really
loved themself?

 

What if.. it was all kind of an illusion, and wee really were not much
closer to the capital S Singularity than we were before?  Imagine it looked
like we were approaching the cap S Singularity, but it was an optical
illusion kinda.  Imagine it. It isn't hard to do.

 

Other Singularity thinkers, might we have been fooling ourselves?  Do
elaborate to exhaustion please.  Ben?  Adrian?  John?  Other Singularity
hipsteers?
