well-defined meaning, and yes, relatively dumb individuals living in rich
modern societies enjoy a mild advantage in fitness so defined. That they
parasitize the resources created by others who are mentally fitter in the
common meaning is another issue, beyond the remit of the geneticist. And of
course the genetically fittest people in America are nowadays religious
practitioners such as orthodox Jews, the Amish, Muslims, and the Quiverfull.
